The “Green Leadership for Hotel Managers” project under KA 220-VET, based in Ireland, aims to enhance leadership within the hospitality sector to promote pro-environmental behavior. Specifically targeting hotel managers, the project proposes a model for Green Leadership, emphasizing the role of leaders in fostering sustainable attitudes and behaviors among employees. By developing competencies, offering online courses, and building a European network, the project aims to establish standards for Green Leadership in hotel management.
The Project
Activities
- Transnational Project Meetings: Plan and coordinate activities across partner organizations.
- Online Workshops: Reinforce and develop competencies among project partners.
- Final Events: Host events in each participating country to promote project results and share best practices.
- Digital Dissemination: Establish an official website and social media pages to share resources and updates.
- Email Communication Plan: Reach 100,000 users to raise awareness and engage stakeholders.
Objectives
- Enhance Competencies: Develop Green Leadership skills among hotel managers, leaders, CEOs, and supervisors.
- Encourage Pro-environmental Behavior: Foster sustainable attitudes and behaviors within the hospitality industry.
- Establish Standards: Create a European standard for Green Leadership in hotel management.
- Validate Credentials: Offer micro-credentials to validate Green Leadership competencies for managers.
- Increase Capacity: Support SMEs and VET centers in measuring and promoting Green Leadership.
- Promote Internationalization: Encourage the adoption of the Green Leadership model across Europe and beyond.
