Day-to-Day Description:

As an intern as a Social Media Manager at Startup Greece, you are responsible for the concept, design and production of  social & digital media campaigns and presence. This may include searching for trending social media channels;  creation, curation and managing content on all our social media channels; to optimize the social media strategy on an ongoing basis; to develop a comprehensive editorial calendar, based on brand objectives & customer  needs; to seek and evaluate new social media and technology opportunities, to strategically engage with  bloggers and opinion makers / influencers; to implement and monitor our campaign (awareness, interest & ROI)  and to brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.

Additionally, you are expected to optimize the overall social media strategy on an ongoing basis and you will  design and implement e-Public Relations campaigns. Our Social Media Manager Interns are the ready ear and  voice of our organization staying at the forefront of the adoption of promising trends, tools, and channels. They  need to be in touch with all areas of our organization to transport our vision, mission and overall goal to the  public. We encourage you as an intern to have self-responsibility in all your tasks. You will evaluate the performance of processes, create new systems and procedures and you will work closely with our team. Innovative Ideas located outside the box, applied creativity, and an inquisitive mindset are



– Effective communication skills,

– Proficient writing skills,

– Good organizational skills,

– Creative mindset,

– Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and WordPress,

– Able to work in a team,

– Academic knowledge of social media management, communication or cultural management.

– Experience with the Facebook power editor would be an advantage.


As an asset:

– Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or in a relevant field.

– Efficient in MS Office.

– Prior experience in writing creative and engaging content.

– Knowledge of another European language.
