Internship Positions – Software Developer

Day-to-Day Description:

As a Front-End Software Developer at Startup Greece, you are responsible to develop new user-facing features.

This may include building reusable code and libraries for future use, breaking down a problem into high performance, ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX design, optimizing the application for maximum speed and scalability, assuring that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end, and to help to improve our software architecture to power an inspiring experience for our environment.

Additionally, you will implement product features that directly impact user engagement. Our Front-End Developer collaborates with the product management, back-end, and mobile teams to design and build new features. We encourage you as an intern to have self-responsibility in all your tasks. You will evaluate the performance of processes, create new systems and procedures, and you will work closely with our team. Innovative ideas located outside the box, applied creativity, and an inquisitive mindset are very desirable.

Expectations:

From our candidates, we expect to have knowledge of markup, including HTML5, CSS3, client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery and Ajax, experience as a developer/engineer, the ability to write performant code, understanding of design patterns, and proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
