May 24, 2024Overview
The #EUYOUTH4EUGOALS project aims to engage, connect, and empower young people across EU member states through democratic participation, transnational mobility, and youth work activities. Therefore, by fostering European citizenship, transnational cooperation, and intercultural connections, it seeks to address challenges in youth representation and societal participation, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative is crucial for creating a more inclusive, participatory, and democratic Europe. Therefore, ensuring that the voices of the younger generation are heard and valued is a top priority.
The Project
Objectives
– Empowerment: The project empowers young people in society and facilitates their participation in social policy-making. It creates opportunities for youth to actively engage in discussions and decisions that shape their future.
– Representation: It addresses challenges in youth representation in the EU, including contested spaces and direct democracy. The project ensures that young people have a platform to express their views and influence policy meaningfully.
– Mitigation: The project mitigates the impact of COVID-19 on youth, including education discontinuity, unemployment, social isolation, and mental health issues. Therefore, this goal is achieved through transnational workshops, toolkits, and social media campaigns designed to provide support and resources to young people during these challenging times.
