My journey with Startup Greece Delegation at Davos 2024 – An exciting experience full of innovation and impact.

My name is Victoria and as the Youth Ambassador of the Startup Greece Delegation at Davos, I’m excited to share my journey of innovation. With a team of 15 dynamic Greek founders, investors, and policymakers, I discovered all the aspects of the forum and met some of the most influential minds on the planet.

When I applied for the role of Youth Ambassador with Startup Greece Delegation at Davos, I was filled with enthusiasm and a strong desire to step out of my comfort zone. Fueled by a sense of adventure and a need to embrace new experiences, I was ready to dive into this exciting journey. After months of countless meetings and rigorous preparation, involving accommodation arrangements and trying to reach out to eminent personalities to book a meeting, it was rewarding to witness the fruits of my efforts.

Throughout the days at Davos, every handshake and conversation, whether with policymakers, global leaders, or investors, was for sure an added value to my experience. From family offices to NGOs, the diversity of people I encountered was inspiring for sure.

A key part of my mission with the Lead of the delegation was fostering connections with Indian officials and stakeholders, who were aligned with our mission to innovate. These interactions were not just dialogues; they were the building blocks of future collaborations and shared visions.

As the Youth Ambassador, my role was primarily focused on team support and coordination. During the event, my days were filled with supporting various aspects of our mission, primarily facilitating effective networking between our delegates and notable figures. Well and … finding ways to get us into VIP parties, where the best kind of networking took place!

Our VIP experiences included the Coca-Cola reception where I chatted with Coca-Cola CEO James and also at the C3 AI Reception, where, I had the pleasure of meeting the CEO and … Princess Beatrice. The exclusive Swedish lunch was my favorite event! There, our team had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions with Dr. Michael Rothchild.

Looking back at my time at Davos, the experience was transformative not only for the Startup Greece team but for me personally as well. My journey at Davos was a unique experience that definitely inspired me for the future. At the end of the day as Michael Dell, the founder of Dell Technologies once said: ‘’Try never to be the smartest person in the room. And if you are, I suggest you invite smarter people… or find a different room.’’… or as I add ‘’Invite yourself to that room’’.

From meticulous planning to on-the-ground execution, each team member played a crucial role in ensuring the success of our mission at Davos.
