SHAZAAM project connects young islanders of Generation Z from Greece & Portugal to promote scientific literacy, critical thinking, and responsible communication. The aim of focus groups will be to recognize Gen Z’s media consumption patterns related to science news and also to identify the most discussed science news in this age group.

Divide participants into three smaller working groups (6 people each)

Introduction of the activity and its purpose
Each group receives a specific question about a current challenge related to Goal #7
Groups work through the Criticism Phase, identifying challenges in the current situation

Groups continue to the Fantasy Phase, envisioning ideal solutions for the challenges

Groups progress to the Realization Phase, developing practical steps and strategies to implement their solutions

Participants will work in three different groups of 6 people and then in one general group – “Design for wiser action” activity: They will work together to develop the Youth Toolkit for Quality Employment for All.

10:30 – 12:00 (1.5 hrs): “Design for Wiser Action” Activity
Participants continue in their assigned groups
Collaborative development of a “Youth Toolkit for Quality Employment for All”
This toolkit will outline strategies to advance the implementation of Goal #7
12:00 – 12:30 (30 mins): Group Presentations (Toolkit)
Each group presents their proposed Youth Toolkit to the larger group
