Happy New Month, everyone!
Another busy month passed for Startup Greece! Are you really for the April Highlights?
Startup Greece at BEYOND Expo 2025
The month started with our participation at the BEYOND Expo 2025. Held at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens from April 4 to 6, we immersed ourselves in meaningful discussions. Our team had the chance to engage with key stakeholders from the Greek startup ecosystem, exploring new opportunities for growth and collaboration. A special moment of the event was our exchange with the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI). Their insights into innovation and intellectual property initiated important conversations. In addition, we were grateful to have been part of a panel discussion. The panel featured leaders like Dimitris Dimosiaris, Thorsten Billing, Cristina Țoncu, Maayan Sharon, and Nasos Koskinas. Their thought-provoking dialogue emphasised the importance of innovation in today’s business landscape.
3rd ASECU Youth Winter School.
Our next stop was the 3rd ASECU Youth Winter School. There, our Managing Director, Thanos Paraschos, shared his insights on the opportunities available to youth in the global innovation ecosystem. Highlighting the power of emerging technologies to build impactful companies. He also highlighted the role of Startup Greece in supporting Greek entrepreneurs worldwide, nurturing a dynamic startup ecosystem that crosses borders. The event was organised by the University of the Aegean in collaboration with the Region of Peloponnese and the Municipality of Corinth. It sparked valuable discussions around technology, entrepreneurship, and youth innovation.
University of Nantes visit the Academy of Entrepreneurship
As the month continued, we also had the pleasure of hosting a group of Master’s students from the University of Nantes. The university specialises in Innovation Management for Transitions. Their visit to Athens focused on exploring the local innovation and startup ecosystem. Thanks to the Academy of Entrepreneurship (AKEP.EU), the students had the opportunity to engage in a deep-dive session about the Greek startup landscape. Andreas Stefanidis, President of AKEP.EU, shared invaluable insights into the opportunities available for aspiring entrepreneurs, including programs like Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (E4YE). It was a joy to exchange ideas and foster international dialogue around innovation and entrepreneurship.
Greek Easter
Last April Highlights included, our international team taking a break to experience Greek Easter, some for the first time. We explored the local celebrations, traditions, and, of course, the food! They enjoyed the lively atmosphere and got a taste of classic Greek Easter dishes, from the traditional lamb to the sweet “tsoureki” bread. It was a great opportunity to relax, connect with the local culture, and recharge as a team.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to collaborate, innovate, and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs!
