Startup Greece February Highlights

What a month February was! Startup Greece February Highlights are here!

This month, our representative, Manolis Kontaxakis, visited Shannon, Ireland, to celebrate the successful completion of the Green Leadership for Hotel Managers project. After two years of dedication, the initiative has empowered future hotel leaders with green leadership assessments, a MOOC, and a European network of sustainable hospitality professionals. Discussions highlighted sustainability, smart tech to reduce energy and water waste, and the future of eco-conscious hospitality.

Our next stop was at the Innovent Forum 2025, hosted at JOIST Innovation Park and the University of Thessaly. There, our Managing Director, Thanos Paraschos, represented Startup Greece as a member of the judging panel, evaluating pioneering ideas in agrifood, energy, and environmental solutions.

Conquering one innovation stage at a time, Thanos had the honor of moderating a panel on Doers Summit, that supported and empowered early-stage startups. The panel explored strategies for overcoming early-stage challenges, securing funding, and scaling effectively.

A special highlight was winning the COSMOTE WORLD PASS powered by Deutsche Telekom in Kraków, Poland. There, we visited hubraum and immersed ourselves in conversations led by inspiring founders, investors, and innovators.
