Startup Greece July Activities: EUYouth4EUGoals in Valencia and Cyber Security Workshop in Cyprus

Startup Greece is buzzing with the vibrant energy of summer. As we are in the heart of the season, let’s explore the exciting insights July has brought us.

The Startup Greece July Activities were kick-started with some SG members travelling to Valencia, Spain, as part of the EUYouth4EUGoals program. From July 10-12 took place a transformative workshop focused on Goal #8: Quality Learning, as part of the EU4Youth framework. The participants gained valuable knowledge and insights and engaged in inspiring discussions and hands-on activities aimed at promoting and improving the quality of education for all. Also they explored innovative approaches, shared best practices, and developed strategies to make quality education accessible and equitable.

The month continued with our Managing Director, Thanos Paraschos, travelling to Cyprus, in the context of the Digital Future program. Held in Larnaka from July 15-19, 2024, was 1st International Educational Workshop on Cyber Security and Cyber Safety. The workshop, organized by the Cyprus Computer Society (CCS), gathered stakeholders from Cyprus, Greece, Romania, and Lithuania to discuss digital literacy and cybersecurity. Highlights included expert presentations on cyber safety, online fraud, gender-based hate in the metaverse, and ethical hacking. Participants engaged in hands-on activities and cultural events, fostering networking and collaboration. Our team at Startup Greece gained valuable insights and experiences, with special thanks to Toumazis Toumazi and his team for hosting us.

The month ended with successful university collaborations, thanks to the efforts of our HR Department. As part of our international internship program, which welcomes students from all around the world, we are proud to announce the addition of the following universities to our list of partners:
