The Greek Tech Week concluded with remarkable participation and a strong presence across the nation. Startup Greece Week 2025 (SGW2025) once again confirmed its position as the largest decentralized initiative for innovation and entrepreneurial activity in Greece. From October 13 to 19, more than 2,000 participants, including entrepreneurs, investors, academics, and emerging creators, gathered across eight cities and online to exchange ideas, forge partnerships, and strengthen the Greek startup ecosystem.

A Snapshot of Startup Greece Week in Numbers

During the week, the event featured over 100 hours of activities, including 25 different events, 130 speakers, 22 organizers, and 120 volunteers actively contributing to the program. Activities spanned a wide range of topics, from workshops on cutting-edge technologies and startup growth strategies, to pitching sessions aimed at securing funding, and panel discussions covering artificial intelligence, agrifood, spinoffs, shipping, women entrepreneurship, and investment tools. Networking opportunities facilitated new collaborations across local and national ecosystems.

This year’s edition highlighted the importance of decentralized innovation, with activities held in Athens, Pireuas, Thessaloniki, Patras, Tripoli, Heraklion, Ioannina, Larissa, and Xanthi, as well as online, demonstrating that innovation in Greece is vibrant and widespread.

Head Organizer’s Reflections on Startup Greece Week

Andreas Klapsis, Head of the SGW Organizing Committee, emphasized that Greece possesses the talent, knowledge, and determination to play a leading role in the new era of innovation. He added that this year’s event leaves a lasting impact and fosters a growing network of individuals actively contributing to the development of the Greek startup ecosystem.

The event was organized with the strategic partnership of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Governance, and with media partnership from Economia -Kerkura Publishing Group. Numerous organizations and volunteers contributed to bringing the vision of an innovative Greece to life.

SGW 2025 showcased that the Greek startup ecosystem extends beyond major cities, flourishing across the country and connecting diverse communities, sectors, and areas of expertise.
