Quart de Poblet, Spain: Goal #5 “Mental Health and Wellbeing”

This workshop in Quart de Poblet focuses on enhancing the mental health and well-being of young people across Europe through interactive and strategic group activities. The session aims to equip participants with the tools to actively contribute to mental health policies and support systems.

Key Objectives:

Workshop Schedule and Activities:
The workshop lasts three days and includes 18 participants (3 from each partner), aged 18-30, focusing on EU Youth Goal #5 “Mental Health and Wellbeing.”

Day 1:
Participants start with ice-breaking activities to build camaraderie and a supportive atmosphere. The session includes an introduction to the workshop’s objectives and a detailed overview of EU Youth Goal #5, followed by an evaluation of its implementation across member states.

Day 2:
The day is divided into a “Future workshop” where participants are split into three groups of six. Each group tackles a different current challenge related to mental health and wellbeing, engaging in three phases: Criticism, Fantasy, and Realisation, aimed at brainstorming creative solutions. This is followed by a “Collecting experiences” session where participants share their personal insights and experiences related to mental health, enhancing the group’s understanding and fostering an exchange of strategies.

Day 3:
The final day involves participants working in new groups to create a “Youth Toolkit for Mental Health and Wellbeing.” This toolkit aims to compile their collaborative ideas on enhancing mental health support and advocacy, representing a practical guide to help advance the achievement of Goal #5.
