Startup Greece Youth Academy 2024: Κάλεσμα για Συνεργάτες στη Δημιουργία...Startup Greece’s January highlights
February 6, 2025As the first month of the new year comes to a close, we’re excited to share how we’ve kicked off 2025 with energy and purpose.
These are Startup Greece’s January highlights:
“From Waste To Worth” Kick-Off in Skopje, North Macedonia
Our month began with two of our team members attending the kick-off meeting in Skopje for the “From Waste To Worth” project. This project is a collaboration between Greece, North Macedonia, and Greece. Along with our partner organizations, we discussed the project’s goals and outlined future tasks and meetings for participants. This Erasmus+ initiative aims to equip young people and NGOs with skills to apply circular economy practices. How? By promoting sustainable, inclusive, and environmentally-friendly communities. The project will build awareness of circular economy principles through educational activities and resource development. With the end goal being to contribute to a more environmentally-conscious society.
4th Year at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland
In January, our team participated in the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 in Davos. This marked our fourth consecutive year at this prestigious event. This year’s theme, “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age,” focused on innovation, inclusivity, and technology’s global impact.
One of the highlights was engaging with global leaders like Paul Alivisatos, President of the University of Chicago, Tom Siebel, AI pioneer and Founder of C3 AI, and Prime Minister Alexander De Croo of Belgium. These conversations helped position Greece as an emerging hub for innovation. We proudly represented the Greek startup ecosystem, but the numbers spoke by themselves. With over 1,200 startups and €2.5 billion in investments, Greece’s growing role in global business and innovation is of no doubt. AI-Driven Youth Engagement, Erasmus+ Project in Qawra, Malta
Our month continued with participation in the AI-Driven Youth Engagement project in Qawra, Malta. This Erasmus+ project aimed to enhance the digital skills of youth workers, empowering them to effectively engage with young people using AI tools.
January has been a dynamic start to the year, with progress on key projects, boosting digital skills in AI, and representing the Greek startup ecosystem on the global stage. Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities to engage with us throughout 2025. We look forward to seeing you at our future events!
